Making the Move

Well, I'm getting tired of ads asking me what Lindsay Lohan's last blood alcohol content was, so I've moved over to blogspot.

Feel free to follow me:

See you over there!

Love,

I am Le Tired

But I thought I'd share that I got a marriage proposal from a patient's father yesterday.

I didn't think I'd get a marriage proposal in peds, about as much as I didn't expect my first flirty patient to be in OB/Gyn.

Funny how the world works.

I'll now sum up my last week in my own words:

I'm in the PICU.  I will not spend the rest of my life here.  I've seen an attending almost make a resident cry.  I've had to hold back tears and go cry in a restroom twice.

I'm out of the PICU on Thursday.  Thank whatever diety or sense of karma you pray to, because I know I am.

Let me sum up my not-nearly-over week in the words of others:

"Look, it's Julie, and she's doing her 'I hate peds' walk." -Sonder and Lindsey

I miss va-jay-jay squad.

That's something I never thought I'd say.

Although I did have an attending say, "You get to play with me in the nursery today."  It took ALL of my self-control not to start laughing.  That was the highlight of my first day in peds.
